ΒΆ Clutch Settings
The clutch is often an overlooked tuning option by many drivers. Depending on grip level and driving style, the clutch should be adjuted.
With 3 springs, each can be individually adjusted to provide the desireable bite point for the conditions.
The standard 3 shoe Mayako clutch can be adjusted with the spring thicknesses.
- 0.9mm - MYB0081-09
- 1.0mm - MYB0081
- 1.1mm - MYB0081-01
Kit standard is 2x 1mm, 1x 0.9mm.
Stiffer clutch springs will be more aggressive as the engine will spin at a higher speed before engagement.
A softer clutch is useful on low traction tracks; a stiffer cltuch is useful on high traction where the power can be delivered.
Mayako currently only offers aluminium clutch shoes (MYB0080). These have been seen to be very hard wearing and high performing.
